In Year ZERO, of the Fragmented Millennia, Yessen Kamal defeated a Hofu, and put an end to the ongoing apocalypse. He became the leader of the world, and created a political regime called The Haki with its intention being to rule post-apocalyptic world. 2025 years later the world is modern and The Haki is still effective, however, because of scientific prowess, and the evolution of technology, the world’s population has become amnesiac about the past apocalypse, and ignores the coming one, despite the preaching of the high priests and oracles.
